This is a general-purpose template, not a substitute for legal advice. It's meant to get the app submitted; have a lawyer review it once the app has real users, especially the sections on assumption of risk and liability.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Caddie Up mobile application ("the App"), operated by Caddie Up ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Caddie Up. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your profile.

In-Person Meetups — Assumption of Risk

Caddie Up helps you find and arrange to meet other users in person to play golf or pickleball. We do not run background checks on users and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of anyone you meet through the App. You are solely responsible for your own safety when meeting or interacting with other users. We strongly recommend meeting in public places, telling someone you trust about your plans, and trusting your judgment. You use the App's matching and messaging features, and you agree to meet other users, entirely at your own risk.

Acceptable Use

If another user violates these standards, use the in-app Report or Block feature. We review reports and may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

Deals and Third-Party Venues

Tee time and court deals shown in the App are provided by third-party courses and venues. We are not responsible for the accuracy of pricing or availability, or for your experience at any course or venue — any dispute about a booking is between you and that venue.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we believe your conduct poses a risk to other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that matches or deals will meet your expectations.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caddie Up is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any interaction, meeting, or dispute with another user encountered through the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
